If an employee's work schedule is other than Monday through Friday, they are entitled to holiday pay for holidays observed on a day off regardless of the day of the week the holiday is observed. Religious or ethnic holidays other than those specified above must be deducted from vacation time or as leave without pay. Personal leave with pay for such purposes is not permitted. Please note: these holidays may vary if you have an alternative holiday schedule in a collective bargaining agreement.
